REQUEST FOR QUALIFICATIONS
FOR LABOR COUNSEL SERVICES
The BOARD OF SELECTMEN of the TOWN of EASTON TOWN (hereinafter called the “TOWN”) seek to appoint a highly qualified attorney/law firm as Labor Counsel. The successful appointee should meet or exceed the qualifications stated herein and, in general, should be readily accessible to authorized public officials, exceptionally experienced in municipal law, labor negotiations and collective bargaining, grievance arbitration and labor relations cases, scrupulous in adhering to required standards of professional conduct and ethics, and committed to rendering sound legal advice with suitable objectivity and professional detachment. All responses must be received at the above address no later than Tuesday, October 24, 2017 at 12:00 noon. If the Town Offices at the above address are closed on the aforementioned date due to weather or natural disaster, the deadline for submittals will be extended exactly 24 hours to Wednesday, October 25, 2017 at 12:00 noon.
Request for Proposals
The Town of Easton, through its Economic Development Council, is seeking to contract with a qualified individual or firm to conduct a process to create an Economic Development Strategic Plan for Easton’s Queset Commercial District. The strategy will provide a road map for allocating resources and efforts to stimulate local business expansion and attract new businesses to the District. The plan is expected to include specific economic development goals, strategies and implementation measures that build on the policy and infrastructure improvements completed and underway in the District.

Invitation to Bid
The Town of Easton Department of Public Works (Owner) invites Bidders to submit sealed Bids under MGL Chapter 30,Section 39M for the Queset Commercial District Sanitary Sewer Collection System Project, which includes, but is not limited to, approximately 2,800 linear feet of force main; 3,760 linear feet of gravity sewer main; 1,300 linear feet of gravity service laterals; a pump station; and all materials and equipment, services and construction inherent to the Work, and is to be substantially complete with sewer system ready for continuous operation by May 31, 2018.
A non-mandatory pre-Bid conference will be held at 9:00 AM local time on Wednesday August 16, 2017 at Easton Town Hall. Bidders are encouraged to attend and participate in the conference.
Sealed Bids will be received until 10:00 AM local time on Wednesday, August 23, 2017 at the Office of the Town Administrator, Easton Town Hall, 136 Elm Street, North Easton, MA 02356, Attention: Connor Read. Bids will then and there be publicly opened and read aloud. Bids received after that time will not be accepted.
Bidding Documents may be obtained electronically at no cost by registering via email with the Engineer at firstname.lastname@example.org to be included on the Bidders list, on or after Thursday, August 3, 2017 at 9:00 AM. Instructions for accessing the Bidding Documents will then be provided. Sets of Bidding Documents may be examined at the following locations. Woodard & Curran, 980 Washington St. Suite 325N, Dedham, MA 02026, and Town of Easton, MA, Town Hall, 136 Elm Street, North Easton, MA 02356.
The Project is being funded in part with monies made available by the Clean Water State Revolving Fund and is to be funded in part by the Massachusetts Clean Water Trust.
